There have been many Buddha’s throughout thousands of centuries. The ancient Sanskrit texts of the Rig Vedas and the Upanishads were written by enlightened men.
And these writings have a wealth of knowledge as relevant today as they were thousands of years ago.
Although these texts are said to date back to around 1500 years, this knowledge is much older. We know this from the myths and monuments of ancient Sumeria – said to be the cradle of civilisation and dates back to around 5500 BCE.
However, this knowledge could be much older. Just how long Buddha wisdom has been known to mankind remains a mystery. That the knowledge of Self is still largely misunderstood today indicates there is a conspiracy against mankind.
Religion, politics, media and the wealthy families that control everything have seen to that. But mankind is waking up to the deception and the veil of Isis is lifting.
In Search of Nirvana
Buddha – or Bodhi – means enlightened being. To be enlightened means to understand the true Self. The ancient sages said that when man understands the true Self, he reaches Nirvana.
But what does this mean?
Nirvana is simply: bliss, peace of mind, to live without fear.
In theory, it seems such a simple concept, but in practice is so hard to achieve. Still, it is encouraging to note that in the modern world, more of us are awakening and striving to find Nirvana.
When Gautama Buddha was asked what he had gained from meditation he replied: “Nothing! However, let me tell you, what I have lost: anger, anxiety, depression, insecurity, fear of old age and death.”
And this is the secret of life. J Krishnamurti, a modern day Buddha once said the secret to life can be found in these five words: “I don’t mind what happens.”
The historical Buddha, and the many Buddha’s before him, all alluded to the same principle.
So if there is one thing we should keep in mind and strive for every day it is this:
You will find the secrets to life hidden in ancient symbolism. All you need to know is what they mean!
